#Verses in London

Fundraising anti-war poetry event #Verses in support of the Ukrainian refugees
On the 27th of June 2022, #Verses presented an evening of anti-war poetry at Pushkin House in London. This poetry and music event was created in partnership between The Voice of Russia, Russian Democratic Society and Pushkin House.

We offered the stage to actors, musicians and our audience to express through verse what they think and feel about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This was a multilingual event with poetry in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian.

The programme included poetry by Tatiana Voltskaya, Andriy Bondarenko, Kateryna Kalytko, Olga Gala, John Farndon, Martin Bell OBE and more. There were also entries from the audience mic.

£500 from the ticket proceeds has been donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Appeal.
